DIRECT SUCCESSORS
Sab Mag 21, 2022 1:13 pm
Here is who they are, and their order of succession to Queen Elizabeth, who is 93 years old, 70 of which she has spent on the throne.
Here the complete list:
1 Prince Charles: 71 years old and when he will be king he will be the oldest heir on the British throne. It is discussed whether he will take on the name of Charles III or George VII.
2. Prince William: firstborn of her majesty’s son, William, who is 37 years old, will inherit the throne after his father.
3. Prince George: he is now 6 years old but he’s already the third in the succession line, being the firstborn of Prince William.
4 Princess Charlotte: she is 4 years old and she will support her older brother. It will be the same as it was for William and Harry until the arrival of Meghan. For the first time the second-born has kept her place in the succession line, despite the arrival of another younger brother. With the Succession to the Crown Act of 2013 (which has changed the historic Act of Settlement of 1701) it has indeed been established that the right to succession is given to the firstborn, not making distinctions between male and female.
